Story
Pokemon Light Platinum opens with a dream: the player witnesses the legendary Pokemon Arceus being attacked in turn by Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina, then wakes up believing it was only a nightmare. Back home, an errand from the player’s mother leads to a professor who needs an ancient stone tablet translated — something only the player can do, since they carry the secret “Alpha” language passed down from their father.
That errand pulls the player into a much bigger journey across Light Platinum’s two custom regions, Zhery and Lauren, where the criminal organization Team Steam is active. Along the way, the player collects Gym Badges toward each region’s own Pokemon League and encounters Pokemon spanning Generations 1 through 5, including the legendary Pokemon featured in the opening dream. The adventure culminates in the post-game Pokemon World Championship.

Final is Wesley FG’s last official release of Light Platinum. Plus is a separate modification by LCCoolJ95 built on top of Final, adding the physical/special split along with new Pokemon and moves. According to Wesley FG, the World Championship event does not work correctly in the Plus version, so players who want to complete that event should use Final instead.
